Day 1:
San José - Tortuguero Canals and Rain Forest |
 |
Departure to Limón. Passing across the Braulio Carrillo
Cloud Forest National Park experience the weather,
temperature and landscape variations. After Siquirres, you
will see many of the largest banana plantations. In Caño
Blanco /Freeman, you will board the boat to Tortuguero.
During the cruise admire the great diversity of flora and
fauna, such as: sloths, monkeys, crocodiles and green
turtles. Afternoon, a tour of the small town and a visit to
the Green Turtle Information Center are also scheduled.

Day 2:
Tortuguero Rain Forest National Park |
 |
In the morning, soft hiking to the Tortuguero Hill to enjoy
the beautiful view of the Caribbean Coast. Afternoon, boat
tour through the small canals of the National Park, a
marvellous rain forest with its 309 different bird species,
its swamp forest and floating aquatic plants. Monkeys are
specially numerous. You may also see the fishing bulldog
bat, keelbilled toucans, anurans, seven species of tortoise,
West Indian manatees, crocodiles and the gar, considered a
living fossil.

Day 3:
Tortuguero Canals - San José |
 |
After breakfast, you will enjoy again the ride through the
canals on your way back to Freeman/Caño Blanco and on by
road to San José.
