Arrival at Juan Santamaría International Airport.
Transfer to your hotel in San José.

Day 2: Rain
Forest Aerial Tram - Cahuita National Park |
 |
Delivery of the rented vehicle at your hotel. Drive through
the Braulio Carrillo Cloud Forest National Park to Rio
Sucio. Ride in the gondolas of the Rain Forest Aerial Tram
at a height of 30m admiring the incredible variety of flora
and fauna. Continue through Limón, the afro-Caribbean
province of Costa Rica. After Siquirres, you will see many
of the largest banana plantations. Upon arrival at the
Caribbean Coast, you will continue through a coastal road
covered with palm trees to arrive in Cahuita.

Day 3:
Cahuita Marine National Park / Puerto Vargas - Puerto Viejo |

The beach at Cahuita is one of the most beautiful palm tree
beaches. The white sand is made of coral reefs and shells
and is lighter than the normal stone sand. Admire, in the
National Park (1068ha) the beach, the crustaceans and fishes
and also the only "living" coral reef in the whole Costa
Rican Caribbean Coast. It begins at the end of Cahuita Beach
and ends at La Punta, a little peninsula that enters more
than three kilometres into the ocean. Visit the nearby small
village of Puerto Viejo with its Caribbean flavour.

Day 4:
Guayabo Archaeological Monument or Turrialba Volcano |

Drive from Cahuita to Siquirres and from here to Santa Cruz
de Turrialba. Visit this pre- Colombian architectural
monument built in Central Costa Rica in AD 800-1550.
Archaeologists have also found ceramic evidence of earliest
occupations from around 1.000 BC. An evergreen forest
surrounds the site. Or you can visit the savage untamed
beauty of the Turrialba Volcano. Continue then to the small
city of Turrialba.

Day 5:
Turrialba - Quetzals Farm at Talamanca - San Isidro |
 |
Drive to Cartago and take the Pan American Highway heading
South direction Panama. Crossing the Cerro de La Muerte,
visit the well-known Finca de Quetzales to observe among
many other exotic birds, the legendary quetzal. Continue
your trip descending the Talamanca Mountain Range to El
General Valley until past the city of San Isidro.

Day 6:
San Isidro - Manuel Antonio National Park and Beaches |
 |
Visit the Central Market at San Isidro. Drive then to the
Pacific Coast and continue along the Coastal Road until the
city of Quepos. Continue to Manuel Antonio where you will be
impressed by the magnificent beaches of the National Park.

Manuel Antonio National Park - San José |

Morning at leisure to enjoy the warm waters of the
Pacific, the beautiful beaches and the exuberant nature of
the forest of Manuel Antonio National Park. In the afternoon
drive across the Aguacate Mountains to San José.

Drive to the International Airport Juan Santamaría.
