Arrival at Juan Santamaría International Airport and
transfer to your hotel.

Day 2: Poás
Volcano National Park and Sarchí Handicrafts Town |
 |
At 2.800 m. (9180 ft) above sea level, the Poás Volcano is
considered to be the largest geyser in the world. Visit Lake
Botos, an ancient crater. Later, drive through coffee and
sugar cane plantations to Sarchí, site of the world famous
multicolour carts and of numerous wooden handicraft and
furniture shops.

Day 3:
Braulio Carrillo National Park - Cahuita National Park |
 |
Drive through the scenery road to the Caribbean Coast
through the Cloud Forest Braulio Carrillo to enjoy the
beautiful view. Continuation to Limón and on along the
Southern Caribbean Coast to arrive at Cahuita.

Day 4:
Cahuita Marine National Park |
 |
The beach at Cahuita is one of the most beautiful palm tree
beaches in the country. The white sand is made of coral
reefs and shells. Admire, in the National Park with its
1068ha the beach, the numerous crustaceans and fishes and
also the only "living" coral reef in the whole Costa Rican
Caribbean Coast. It begins at the end of Cahuita Beach and
ends at La Punta, a little peninsula that enters three
kilometres into the ocean.

Day 5:
Limón - Water Canals - Tortuguero Rain Forest National Park |
 |
From Cahuita to Limón and on through rain forests and large
banana plantations to the embarking point by Matina where
you will board the boat to cruise the marvellous water
canals until you arrive in Tortuguero. Visit the small
village of Tortuguero and the Green Turtle Information
Centre.

Day 6:
Tortuguero Canals - San José |
 |
Early Sunrise Boat Tour through the small natural canals in
the Tortuguero Rain Forest and National Park with its
impressive flora and fauna with more than 309 bird species.
After breakfast, you will enjoy again the ride through the
canals on your way back to Matina/Freeman/Caño Blanco.
Continuation by road to San José.

Day 7 (option
one): The Gulf of Nicoya and its Islands |
 |
You will drive the Pan American Highway until you arrive at
the old Port of Puntarenas. There you will leave on a cruise
skirting the Pacific Coast to visit the most important
virgin island of the Nicoya Gulf: The exotic Tortuga Island,
full of coconut palms, white sand and crystalline water,
where you will enjoy contact with nature. Lunch will be
served on the beach and you will return to San José by late
afternoon.

Day 7 (option
two): Coffee Tour and Butterfly Farm |

Visit to a highland coffee plantation and short performance
of the history of coffee. Enjoy later the marvellous world
of the butterfly farm and learn all about these creatures.

three): White Water Rafting |

A popular sport in Costa Rica: Rafting on the tropical
waters of the Reventazón River as you pass through jungles

Transfer to the International Airport Juan Santamaría for
your return flight.
