Day 2: San
José - Manuel Antonio National Park and Beaches |
 |
Departure to Atenas and then across the Aguacate Mountains
to arrive at Manuel Antonio, the perfect combination for
nature lovers. Discover the rain forest of this unique
National Park and enjoy the warm waters of the Pacific Ocean
and the beautiful white sandy beaches of Manuel Antonio.

Day 3: Manuel
Antonio - Hacienda Barú - San Isidro de El General |

Departure from Manuel Antonio through the Southern Coastal
Road to arrive at Hacienda Barú. Visit this Reserve with a
total of 320ha. from which 80 ha are protected primary
forest and 75ha secondary forest. If offers several natural
paths through the Rain Forest and at the beach to discover
the beauty of its flora and fauna. Continue to visit Central
Market at the small city of San Isidro de El General.

Day 4:
San Isidro - Las Cruces Biological Station - David, Panama |

Drive from San Isidro to Las Cruces Biological Station.
Admire many of the more than 330 bird species and 7.000
species of plants and exotic tropical flowers as well as
bromeliads as you walk through the natural paths of this 256
ha Forest Reserve. Continuation to the border in Paso Canoas
and on to the city of David in Panamá.

Day 5:
David - Boquete - Highland Coffee Tour |

Drive from David rapidly ascending to the picturesque
mountain town of Boquete. Early afternoon visit of the
highland coffee plantation and the private flower garden.

Day 6:
La Amistad International Biosphere Park - Border - Golfito |
 |
Drive to the west side of the Barú Volcano, Cerro Punta and
the Friendship Park shared with Costa Rica. The park was
acknowledged in 1982 as a Biosphere Reserve and UNESCO World
Heritage Site. After the visit continuation to Paso Canoas,
border town with Costa Rica at and on to the port city of
Golfito.

Day 7:
Golfito - Quetzals Farm - San José |
 |
Early departure from Golfito, ascending the Talamanca
Mountain Range. After La Lucha you should visit the Finca de
Quetzales. This region is one of the richest from a
biological point of view in Costa Rica. It is the home of
over 400 species of birds, under which the splendid Quetzal,
phoenix of the forest is the most prominent. The farm is
famous for the great amount of those birds that congregate
to nest amid this cloud forest. After the visit,
continuation to San José.
